A contrast between old and new is created by the juxtaposition of rustic hand honed wood timbers from agricultural structures and sleek machined materials and bright colors and bold forms. The timbers support the glass exterior and continue into the interior. This combination captures characteristics of the respective backgrounds of the clients while integrating sustainable design. The existing 7,500 SF house is transformed into a gracious entry and entertainment space with a new master bedroom suite.
